Filming of series 10 of Doctor Who is now officially underway. Peter Capaldi welcomes new companion Bill, played by Pearl Mackie, in the Timelord’s latest adventures.
Pearl was sent a warm welcome to the TARDIS crew by former companion Jenna Coleman, who left the series in last year’s series finale Hell Bent.

The Doctor looks to have upgraded his outfit again, with him wearing a blue lined coat paired with a green hoody.
it's not your fault that you're so cute but it's actually ruining my life #dwsr pic.twitter.com/51GCVckYoX

Of course, alongside the two new leads, the TARDIS also made an appearance.

The latest rumours from the set suggest that the Doctor could be posing as a University lecturer in the opening episode, perhaps with Bill as his student. Steven Moffat did promise it would be an unusual meeting for the two of them, this would fit the bill (no pun intended). We’re expecting lots more behind the scenes photographs and footage as filming progresses. Keep an eye on Zeenscreen for all the latest.
Doctor Who returns to our screens this Christmas. Series 10, starring Peter Capaldi and Pearl Mackie, will arrive in 2017.
